Custom Metal Fabricator/WelderThis position is based out of our De Pere, WI facility.Become part of a great custom manufacturing shop with national high-profile jobs to talk about!As a Custom Metal Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for following technical blueprints while forging various materials to create unique and high visibility architectural elements. You will be assigned fabrication projects where you will be responsible for from start to finish; blueprint reading, material selection, cutting, forming, welding, and wiring through final assembly to meet client's vision and specifications. You will ensure quality control standards are met throughout the fabrication process while ensuring safety guidelines are followed.Our fabrication projects are unique and different from each other. The architectural elements and signs produced are often fabricated for and installed at:Major sports facilitiesLambeau, American Family Field, Daytona Motor Speedway, AT&T Arena, T-Mobile Arena, NFL Hall of Fame, BMO Stadium, Climate Pledge Arena, and many more sports venuesAmusement parks such as those in Florida, California and othersEntertainment and hospitality venues like casinos and hotelsAll types and sizes of signs, scoreboards, building facades, architectural elements, canopies, ornamental enclosures and much moreReading and interpreting product drawings, along with assembly instructionsVerifying dimensions and product specificationsSelecting materials per work ordersUse shears, torches, press brakes, or drill press as needed per job specifications to create parts to specified shapes and lengthsFit, tack, and weld a variety of aluminum or steel structures per fabrication requirements, using primarily MIG welding processesFinish parts and assemblies by griding, polishing, and cleaning to prepare for paint applicationRun electrical wiring and install lighting, as applicable, per schematicsMaintain a clean and organized work areaDemonstrate teamwork and collaboration to ensure production flow efficientlyAny other additional duties assigned by the leaderWork Conditions consist of a naturally lit, well-ventilated and clean manufacturing environmentStanding, bending, and twisting 90% of the dayMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.Adherence to strict safety guidelines and PPE: safety glasses, gloves, steel tipped work boots, welding gear, ear protection as requiredMust be able to work in a variety of work environments, such as cold and hot weather (depending on area)High School Diploma or equivalent1+ years' experience in Fabrication – steel, aluminum preferredWelding abilities in MIG, flux core, aluminum, TIG, and/or stickBlueprint reading capabilityAbility to operate a wide range of hand and power toolsGood dexterityStrong work ethicSpectacular attention to detailAbility to read tape measureGood organizational skillsCertified welding certification a plusHealth, Dental, Vision & Wellbeing BenefitsVacation, holiday and Paid Time Off (21 days)401(k) Plan with Competitive Company MatchLeading Edge Tools & TechnologyYMCA Health & Fitness MembershipEducation AssistanceAdvancement OpportunitiesIncentive ProgramsCharitable Contributions MatchPaid Parental LeaveProfit SharingAnd more!Jones is an equal opportunity employer with a diverse workplace that promotes a culture of trust, respect, and transparent communication.
