Systems Engineering Analysis, Senior

This Department of War enterprise data and analytics program delivers mission-critical capabilities that enable leaders across the Department to make faster, better-informed decisions using trusted data at scale. Leidos Digital Modernization sector is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to support the delivery, enhancement, and adoption of enterprise data and analytics products used across multiple DoD organizations.

You will contribute directly to product planning, execution, and continuous improvement—helping ensure capabilities are delivered efficiently, aligned to mission priorities, and positioned for sustained success.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a high-visibility, enterprise program at the intersection of data, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. Uses Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) techniques and tools to design, develop, and maintain enterprise system designs at the component and sub-component level, including:

Interface definitions and data flows

Trade studies, alternatives analysis, and technical decision documentation

Lead systems engineering lifecycle activities including requirements decomposition, interface definition, architecture alignment, and verification/validation planning.

Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation including architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and technical standards.

Ensure alignment across DevSecOps pipelines, infrastructure components, data platforms, and cybersecurity controls.

Support release, configuration, patch, asset, and system lifecycle management processes across environments.

Identify and resolve system integration challenges impacting performance, scalability, and interoperability.

Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and Inspect & Adapt events.

Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility.

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 8–12 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree in a related field and 6–10 years of relevant experience.

Demonstrated equivalent training and experience qualifying under DoD 8140 foundational qualification alternatives.

Minimum 8 years of systems engineering experience supporting complex DoD or enterprise-scale platforms.

Demonstrated expertise applying Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles in large, distributed systems.

Experience performing systems engineering activities in DoD or Federal enterprise environments.

Experience integrating cloud, DevSecOps, data, and cybersecurity capabilities into enterprise systems.

Experience operating within SAFe or large-scale Agile frameworks supporting enterprise systems.

Experience architecting and engineering multi-cloud, cloud-neutral, or open-source solutions.

Experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, AI/ML, or digital transformation initiatives.

INCOSE CSEP or equivalent systems engineering certification.

Familiarity with AWS services and cloud infrastructure management.
