Job Title : Facilities Technician

The Facilities Technician performs general facilities maintenance tasks. Primary responsibilities include removing chips from machines and placing them in proper containers, removing cardboard and baling them, removing pallets, and storing materials in the proper locations.

Perform general facilities maintenance, construction, & repair tasks in accordance with service, quality, & safety standards.

Assist with miscellaneous facilities projects, including painting and moving furniture or materials within the facility.

Work with or assist trades contractors on complete projects or complex repairs.

Perform or assist with preventive and predictive maintenance on plant facilities and associated equipment.

Support continuous improvement activities involving quality, cost, delivery, reliability, safety, lean, 5S, root-cause analysis, and value-stream management.

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

At least one year of facilities maintenance experience.

Experience cleaning and maintaining machine equipment, operating compactors and banding machines, operating forklifts, and properly handling and storing oils and chemicals associated with a production environment.

Ability to read and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles.

Knowledge of, or ability to learn, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing facility equipment such as air compressors, boilers, chillers, generators, air-purification systems, and pumps.

Demonstrated accountability, collaboration, communication, customer focus, and innovation.

Hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.

Must be able to pass forklift training provided by the company.
