CNC Programmers - Manufacturing

Innovative Machinery Group is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to support multi-axis turning operations, ranging from 2-axis tailstock lathes to sub-spindle / Y-axis configurations with the knowledge base to help support the milling department as needed.

This is a hands‑on role requiring a strong presence on the shop floor. select the appropriate tooling, speeds/feeds, work holding, machining strategy, and create set‑up sheets for production runs

Work directly with operators and set‑up personnel to support daily production needs

Support frequent job changeovers and provide additional attention to one‑off and short‑run parts

Support programming for 3 and 4 axis machining centers as needed

The duties listed above are intended only as illustration of the various types of work that may be performed. 5+ years of CNC programming experience

Strong lathe programming experience

Working knowledge of Vertical Machining Centers (3/4 axis programming experience preferred)

Self‑sufficient and comfortable working with minimal supervision

Experience with SolidWorks (model review and basic modification) – Preferred, but not required

Experience supporting prototype or short‑run production environments – Preferred, but not required

Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment.

Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas.

Strong hand–eye coordination and fine motor skills required for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work.

Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
