Position Overview
Sentara is hiring a Supply Chain Associate in Harrisonburg, Virginia. This is a full‑time, rotating shift opportunity with great benefits. City/State: Harrisonburg, VA. Work shift: Rotating.
Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Associate is responsible for leading, managing, transforming and developing the inventory and logistics of the Hospital Warehouse Docks. Responsibilities include supply inventory management, warehouse management, product receiving, shipping, record keeping, order fulfillment, and materials transportation.
The role will manage supplies coming to the hospital, building a competitive inventory and logistics infrastructure, optimizing logistics and record‑keeping, facilitating cycle counts, measuring inventory, and ensuring continuous improvement. Additionally, it will provide data and information to superiors to facilitate decision making with ground‑level information and insights on a periodic basis or ad‑hoc, aligned with Sentara Healthcare priorities.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience in inventory and logistics management roles.
Experience in optimization of inventory, logistics, or materials management is highly preferred but not required.
Experience in a health care setting is preferred but not required.
