Systems Engineer - MBSE / Missile Defense Systems

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Compensation: $130,000 - $155,000 depending on experience

Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Required

Work Arrangement: Full-Time / 100% On-Site

We are recruiting for an experienced Systems Engineer to support advanced defense and space-related programs focused on early-phase systems engineering, concept development, requirements definition, and system architecture. This role is heavily focused on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and offers the opportunity to work on highly visible mission systems supporting national defense initiatives.

This position is ideal for a systems engineer with strong MBSE experience, a background in complex defense systems, and the ability to work directly with customers and integrated engineering teams in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead systems engineering activities across the Systems Engineering Development Lifecycle (SEDLC)

Support concept development, requirements decomposition, and system design activities

Develop and maintain system models using MBSE methodologies and tools such as Cameo

Develop and manage system interfaces, ICDs, and IDDs

Work directly with customers to elicit, analyze, and refine system requirements

Support engineering technical reviews and development of technical documentation

Collaborate within Agile Scrum teams and integrated engineering environments

Provide technical leadership and support for high-visibility engineering activities

Communicate technical concepts clearly to engineering teams, leadership, and customers

Support long-term program objectives with minimal supervision

Work Environment

This position is performed within a secure classified workspace and requires compliance with all security protocols and handling procedures for sensitive information. The role requires daily on-site collaboration in Colorado Springs.
