Howmet Engine Systems is currently seeking an experienced Engineering professional to join our team in Hampton, Virginia.Weare seeking individuals who have a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a manufacturing environment, as well as the passion to put that experience to work to lead activities and support plant/location team to achieve manufacturing excellence. As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for all the metallurgical/materials characteristics pertaining to the investment casting process and our products. This may involve both new development and production castings. The prime responsibility for this position is to engineer the highest yield and lowest overall cost product while meeting or exceeding all customer defined quality requirements. In this position you will work in a team environment with other engineers as well as hands‑on with the manufacturing team so strong communication skills are required.

Develops and debugs processes for production and developmental castings.

Supplies technical support to customers. Complies with all company attendance policies and guidelines; this includes, but is not limited to, regular attendance and some overtime.

Presents information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Applies mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

Motivated to continuously drive improvement in assigned portfolio of parts.

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Engineering or related field work

Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment

3D modeling and drafting experience in Engineering or related coursework
