Validation Engineering

We are seeking a Validation Engineer (VE) Co-op in our Mobile Solutions Business (MSB) unit in Skyworks Newbury Park, CA design center. You will be part of a VE engineering group in support of high-volume power amplifier products and sub-systems for cellular handset applications assisting VE to setup tests, gather, analyze and summarize the data. You will also help design engineers optimize the module by tuning. Duration of Co-op assignment: up to 6 months from January to June 2027

o Working with a senior VE to setup tests and gather data for compliance matrix

o Performing lab testing using RF test equipment and analyzing/summarizing the data

o Working with a design engineer to help optimize matching circuits for better module performance

Software Tools Used:

o Multiple Internal Software for Data Analysis

o Microsoft Office/Outlook

o Network Analyzers

o Digital Receivers

o Understanding of RF concepts such as impedance matching, impedance transformation, distributed systems, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, bandwidth and stability.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour.
