Seasonal Retail Salesperson

Customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities in a retail store.Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device (such as a phone or tablet), and thank donors for their donated items.Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.Cleaning duties (including but not limited to) bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters. Customer service activities (including but not limited to) customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques that may enhance the store’s sales and community image.Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.6 months of related experience or training is highly desirable.Excellent customer service skills.Equipment, Machines, and tools used: Cash register, pricing and tagging materials, box cutters, merchandise movement, and storage containers.Organizational Support - Follows policies and procedures; Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
