Mechanical Engineer

Onsite, Metro Detroit or Metro Lansing Michigan area

Travel: Up to 30% domestically and internationally

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience in mining, lime, cement aggregates, or OEM of this equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical engineering skills and the ability to interact effectively in a corporate environment.

10+ years of experience in mining, lime, cement aggregates, or OEM of this equipment.

Strong mechanical engineering skills.

Ability to design or troubleshoot systems using mechanical equipment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and design/modelling software like AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks, or Revit.

Electrical and Civil engineering cross-training.

Experience with SAP or similar systems.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Design or troubleshoot systems using mechanical equipment including conveyors, crushers, screens, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, gearboxes, fans, blowers, and pumps.

Experience with rotary or vertical lime kilns, mills, crushers, screens, coolers, dust collectors, silos, and other lime and stone production equipment.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proficiency with Microsoft Office software and design/modelling software.

Work with Operations/Process/Project Management Teams in developing Capex Projects through Scope, Estimations, Specifications, Control Narratives, and Conceptual Design.

Review and approve work of outside engineering consultants including flow diagrams, general arrangement drawings, specifications, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor drawings, as-built drawings, and manuals.
