TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, including at least 1 year of direct Med/Surg experience.
License: Active nursing license required.
Certifications: BCLS, NIH, NIHSS, ACLS preferred.
Must-Have:

• IV start and telemetry skills.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Med/Surg neuro experience required.

Any call-offs or additional time off on the unit may result in cancellation.
The unit primarily cares for stroke patients, as well as those with other neuro diagnoses such as epilepsy and traumatic/non-traumatic subdural hematomas.
Nurses are required to float to other Med/Surg/Telemetry areas as needed.
Travelers must work every other weekend.
Frequent floating may be required.
The unit has a 4-bed epilepsy monitoring unit with a 4:1 patient ratio for that section.
Additional skills required include blood product administration, central line care and management, and isolation precautions.
The daily census is approximately 42 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
Travelers must pass EKG testing prior to starting.
The unit requires candidates to have prior Med/Surg experience, particularly direct Med/Surg, not only Med/Surg/Telemetry.
This position involves caring for adult and geriatric patients.
Travelers are expected to maintain compliance with all unit policies and procedures.
Modular training will be conducted prior to start.
Candidates must be open to floating within the facility as needed.
All RTO requests must be pre-approved.
