Registered Nurse (RN) - Weekend Night Shift

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical
Night shift: 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required.
Assignment Details
Contract length: variable; maximum RTO: 7 days. Compliance must be met to start on time.
Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience required; first timers not accepted.
Patient population: adults to geriatrics.
Certifications: BLS required.
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system required.
Experience with post-surgical and various patient types including orthopedic, urology, colorectal, bariatric, neurology, and general surgery.
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit.
Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
Assist with patient mobility and activities of daily living.
Educate patients and their families on care plans and post-discharge instructions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Compliance / Notes
Floating within the facility may be required as needed. RTO blackout dates apply during Spring Break (April 4th-12th) and major holidays. Travelers are expected to work scheduled holidays within their assignment period.
