Rate: DOE (This is a Per Diem basis role)

Required Skills & Experience:

One year of hands on experience as a hygienist.

GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation experience.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene school.

Required Certifications & Licensure MUST have to be considered:

Hold a current state issued Dental Hygiene license.

CPR certification.

X-ray training or certification.

Job Summary:

Work together with the dentist to meet the oral health needs of the patient. Provide a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Handles a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations. These duties range in complexity and skill, and all aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service skills and a strong commitment to working well with patients, doctors, dental assistants, and other dental office team members.

Essential Functions:

GBT Guided Biofilm Therapy equipment operation may be required.

Provide oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.

Apply fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain and plaque from above and below the gum line.

Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.

Record and review patient medical histories.

Uphold office policy including HIPAA & OSHA.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
