We are looking for a Consumer Loan Specialist who is driven to make a positive impact on the employee experience. The Consumer Loan Specialist will maintain a pipeline of existing and potential members and bring customer loans from origination (primarily through inbound engagements through the phone, referrals, and online applications) through to loan decision. This is a performance-based sales role which offers base pay plus uncapped commissions. Originates loans and communicates decisions to members on consumer loan applications including auto, boat, RV, personal loans, and credit cards from various sources.

• Submits loan applications into the loan processing system aligned to department expectations.
• Collect all required documents from each member to ensure applications can be properly assessed.
• Addresses issues effectively to ensure high-quality member service experiences.
• Takes action to stay informed of all compliance requirements, training, policies and procedures that are relevant to consumer lending.
• Supports, promotes, and cross-sells credit union products and services that align to member needs.
• Provides recommendations that may improve processes and/or service to internal and external customers.
• High School Diploma/GED.

Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a financial institution or experience originating loans.

Written and spoken fluency in Spanish.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

1 year experience originating and/or processing consumer loan applications.

~- This is a hybrid role with work primarily performed remotely in the Greater Seattle area of Washington State. This role may be eligible for virtual work, in and outside the State of Washington in approved locations.

The nature of work may include prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Scheduled for Saturday hours on a rotating basis.
