Paramedic Ambulance--Full-Time

Full Time, Orange, California, UCI Health Sciences – School of Medicine – DOM Hospitalists

Salary: USD $90.64 to USD $124.44 per hour

The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive care for patients in ambulatory or inpatient settings under the supervision of the Hospital Medicine & Palliative Medicine faculty. Responsibilities include coordinated care, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians.

Perform duties in scope of practice, including management of chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and related procedures.

credentialing must be completed prior to first working day.

Provide patient care across age groups and health‑licensed settings within all Health locations and affiliates.

Maintain standards of care for the specified patient population and demonstrate accountability for quality of care.

Collaborate with supervising physicians and administrative managers for evaluation and feedback.

Ability to obtain UCIMC Allied Health Professional Privileges prior to hire.

Clear understanding of core internal medicine principles.

Knowledge of medical history and skillful history‑taking.

Experience using standard protocols for Hospital Medicine patients.

Effective collaboration across the program and UCI Health System.

Customer service skills suitable for the role.

Clear communication of medical information to diverse audiences.

Excellent written communication for reports, laboratory data, and progress notes.

Proficiency with specialized medical equipment and procedures.

Adherence to privacy, confidentiality, and PHI security policies.

Multilingual proficiency.

Current DEA registration (schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5).

Completion of Controlled Substances Education Course per California regulations.
