Lead Commercial Journeyman Electrician

The Lead Commercial Electrician is responsible for overseeing multiple crews, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will serve as a primary point of contact with General Contractors, provide advanced technical support, and mentor team members in the field.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics.

Lead equipment startup, commissioning, and testing activities.

Oversee and coordinate multiple electrical crews on commercial projects.

Maintain direct communication with General Contractors and project stakeholders.

Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) as needed.

Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Solve complex jobsite challenges while maintaining productivity.

Train, mentor, and develop lower-level technicians and electricians.

Enforce company safety standards and industry best practices.

Protect labor efficiency through effective planning, delegation, and resource management.

Conduct quality control inspections and verify code compliance.

Qualifications

Extensive commercial electrical experience required.

Proven leadership experience managing multiple crews and large commercial projects.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.

Experience with equipment startup and commissioning.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Journeyman Electrician Certification preferred.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
