TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Evansville, Indiana, 47710!

Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical
Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical-Surgical unit serving a post-surgical, UTI, sepsis, high fall risk, COPD, and CHF patient population
Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments using strong critical thinking skills
Manage clinical skills including remote telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, NG/PEG tubes, straight cath/Foley catheters, ostomies, Heparin drips, blood/blood product administration, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday
May be required to precept students and new hires in a teaching hospital environment
Current, active compact RN license required
Minimum of 2 years of recent, strong Medical-Surgical experience
At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
Recent Epic EMR experience required
Experience working in a high-acuity Medical-Surgical environment with complex patient populations
Familiarity with cross-campus float assignments and multi-site health system environments
