Salesperson for Retail Sales

Job Summary We are currently recruiting people who share a passion for hockey and will strive to provide world-class plus service to Tampa Bay Lightning and Concert/Event fans at Benchmark International Arena. Assist fans with retail purchases through Point of Sale (POS) systems

Assist with stocking retail merchandise on sales floor

Assist with replenishing retail merchandise on displays/shelves during and after games

Assist with inventory of merchandise

May be assigned to work in different functions of retail or event types as needed, including e-commerce, hockey games, concerts, warehouse, etc.

Qualifications Must be 18 years old with high school diploma or GED required

Experience working in retail or sales preferred, cash handling skills preferred

Ability to learn and retain inventory knowledge so that you will be able to assist guests looking for certain products and utilize knowledge to up sell retail products

Exceptional accuracy when using Point of Sale (POS) systems

Working Conditions Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time, walk long distances and climb stairs

Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language

Must be able to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people

Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays

Must be able to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures

Overview Vinik Sports Group (VSG) is an entity established by Jeff Vinik to manage the three-time Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning (2004, 2020, 2021) of the National Hockey League and hold the leasehold rights to Benchmark International Arena, the 19,092-seat downtown Tampa home in which the team plays its games. The venue opened in 1996 and became Benchmark International Arena in August 2025 when the global mergers and acquisitions firm, Benchmark International, partnered with Vinik and the Lightning. Since 2010, Vinik has led a complete brand and business transformation of the Lightning and the arena, featuring a mostly private renovation of the publicly owned facility. In addition to owning the Lightning and managing Benchmark International Arena, Vinik Sports Group, through TBSE, manages the Yuengling Center on the campus at the University of South Florida.
