HR Generalist/Employee Relations/Payroll

We are seeking a bilingual Spanish HR Generalist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Van Nuys, CA. This hands-on Human Resources role supports an established company in the beauty industry and is ideal for a people-focused HR professional who enjoys payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.

The HR Generalist will work closely with team members across departments, partner with leadership, and contribute to talent acquisition, retention, employee engagement, and compliance. Administer daily Human Resources operations, including payroll, benefits, employee records, onboarding, compliance, recruiting, and employee relations support.

• Process bi-weekly payroll through ADP for 100+ employees, including wage changes, personal information updates, garnishments, W-4 changes, promotions, increases, and terminations.
• Manage new hire administration, onboarding, I-9 documentation, E-Verify verification, employee verifications, and HRIS updates.
• Maintain personnel files, confidential files, training files, I-9 files, and required workplace postings in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Support talent acquisition, retention, coaching, employee relations, safety, risk management, and HR policy administration.
• Communicate professionally with employees, leadership, vendors, visitors, and cross-functional teams while helping promote a positive workplace culture.

Pay rate: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour.
