Travel Ultrasound/Sonographer- Radiology

American Traveler is hiring an OB-certified Sonographer for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring RDMS certification and at least 1 year of experience.
Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience required
BLS certification required
RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) certification required
RDMS-OB/GYN certification required
RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification preferred
Vascular imaging experience preferred
License required if applicable
Active state or compact (NLC) licensure required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
Driver's license copy required for consideration
Responsibilities

• Acute care ultrasonography unit with 3 scanner rooms
• Performs general US exams, pare thora biopsies, and vascular exams
• Averages 8-16 scans/studies per day
• Uses Philips EPIQ equipment and Cerner EMR/PACS system
• 12-hour day shifts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7am-7pm
• Weekend rotation sometimes required
• Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
• Call or standby requirement
• May occasionally float to other areas, though not standard
• Radiologist available in-house, with Radiology Supervisor oversight
• Performs general ultrasound exams, pare thora biopsies, and vascular studies
• Does not require IV starts as part of job duties
• Department-specific orientation provided, totaling 12 hours
• Dress code and scrub provisions not yet determined
• Candidates residing within AZ must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
• Candidates previously employed directly by CommonSpirit-associated facilities within the past year are not eligible
