Operations Manager - Plant Management

Job Summary: The Inplant Manager oversees all on-site ink support operations at a customer manufacturing facility. This role combines technical expertise in ink blending and color matching with leadership responsibilities, ensuring high-quality product flow and exceptional customer service.

Manage the full ink blending process following established management protocols.
Perform professional color matching and maintain comprehensive customer formulation files.
Coordinate the scheduling of ink deliveries and monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
Develop and execute plans to rework press returns and manage obsolete materials.
Maintain accurate record-keeping for all production, inventory, and formulation activities.
Support customer VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) compliance programs through data monitoring and reporting.
Establish and monitor stringent housekeeping and safety procedures within the customer location.
Serve as the primary liaison between the company and the customer regarding product trials and development.
Identify and review quality standards in collaboration with key customer personnel during qualification trials.
Provide on-site customer service and sales backup to strengthen the client partnership.
Manage all personnel functions, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
Maintain 24-hour on-call availability to address urgent quality or production issues.
Problem-Solving: Proactively initiate and participate in productivity projects and customer-specific troubleshooting.
Communication: Effectively translate technical requirements between internal technical groups and the customer.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in manufacturing or production, specifically within ink management or a related field.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Travel: Ability to travel occasionally and manage multi-plant responsibilities if required.
