Posting Summary - Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the Center for American Women and Politics, within the Eagleton Institute of Politics. Organizes, administers, and coordinates lectures, forums, educational programs and other events for the Center for American Women and Politics including on- and off-site events as well as virtual programming.

Follows up on invitations, contracts, planning processes, logistics, communications, promotion, records, materials, invoice processing, and documents related to events.

Gathers information from all involved parties about expectations, including special needs and considerations.

Creates and maintains mechanisms to organize event ideas and planning processes, including speaker databases and planning calendars.

Oversees day-of, on-site logistics for events, ensuring that staff fulfill their responsibilities and events run smoothly and seamlessly.

Conducts follow-up and ensures that all post-program tasks are completed promptly and appropriately, including photo editing, archives, correspondence, and billing.

Oversees student interns and work-study students on events and programs.

Assists senior staff and faculty on other educational programming and special projects, including facilitating guest visits and field trips.

Serves as lead on the annual Ready to Run® New Jersey program (up to 250 attendees) and its pre-conference diversity initiative, including staffing three advisory committees, and on the annual Senator Wynona Lipman Chair in Women's Political Leadership.

Develops CAWP's online programming, including drafting a project plan, developing content, and coordinating guest speakers and uploads.

Keeps program web pages current with agendas and registration information.

Provides backup support to the Center's administrative staff as needed.

On occasion, all members are asked to participate in Institute-wide and/or cross-team projects.

Minimum Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Comfortability with meeting and working with a broad range of people — from high level public officials to media representatives to vendor staff to students — in a variety of highly visible settings. Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and short deadlines in high-stress situations. Preferred Qualifications - Degree in Political Science, Gender Studies or related experience in those fields. Equipment Utilized - Microsoft Office Suite.
