Head of Supply Chain & Business Operations

As a Senior Operations Manager at one of our first robotics sortable buildings in North Carolina located in beautiful Charlotte, NC, you'll be at the helm of a large-scale operation that delivers for millions of Amazon customers every day. Own the operation - Take full accountability for budgetary performance, people development, and operational excellence across your functional area (Inbound or Outbound).

• Lead and develop leaders - Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Operations and Area Managers, setting clear expectations and holding them accountable while building the next generation of Amazon leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement - Champion Lean initiatives, process innovations, and quality programs that push your team and the FC to exceed business goals.
• Deliver a world-class customer experience - Ensure safety, quality, and performance standards are met or exceeded every single day.
• Collaborate cross-functionally - Partner with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT, and peer leaders to secure resources, share best practices, and drive site-wide success.
• Cultivate ideas - Source and nurture innovative ideas from your team, translating them into actionable improvement plans that raise the bar across the network.
• Share best practices - Take proactive steps to ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and the broader network.

Walking in the FC and around area with great frequency; facilities are over a quarter mile in length

- Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation)

Consistently in the top 10 in the world for units shipped in any given day.

• Tons of outdoor activities - raft, kayak, mountain bike, etc.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of equivalent experience
• Work flexible hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
• 7+ years direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
• Prior experience with performance metrics, process improvement and Lean techniques
• Prior experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and termination

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations or related field. MBA preferred

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
