Usher for Events

Responsibilities Assist patrons with their customer service needs while attending a public or private event.
Assist patrons with seating or other information as needed.
Maintain position on post, viewing area of responsibility.
Oversee assigned area for spills or situations requiring staff attention.
Operate handicap lift with wheelchair‑containing patron (if applicable).
Receive and act on complaints from patrons according to established policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred.
One-year prior experience in a customer service position preferred.
Skills and Abilities Communicate clearly, have a friendly disposition, and smile.
Stay calm in a stressful and fast‑paced arena environment.
Handle conflict in a friendly and effective manner.
Physical Demands Navigate a variety of floor surfaces and areas, including continuous standing and walking and up and down stairs.
Verbal communication in a clear manner with guests, teammates, and building staff.
Work in a variety of environments, including heights, elevators, darkened arena, around crowds, loud noise, and flashing lights.
Hours of Work and Travel Requirements Vary by show to include days, nights, weekdays, and weekends.
