At our rapidly growing practice, Midwest Cardiovascular Institute (MCI), we are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team! As a Vascular Sonographer, your duties will include preparing patients for scans, operating the ultrasound equipment, and working with physicians to review the vascular images. Preparing and updating patients' medical records.

Ensuring that the lab, examination rooms, tools, and equipment are properly sterilized and maintained.

Preparing patients for ultrasound examinations.

Operating and maintaining ultrasound and plethysmography equipment.

Assisting physicians with reviewing and interpreting ultrasound images.

Performing administrative tasks such as managing patient schedules and filing diagnostic reports.

Staying up to date with the latest advancements in sonography technology and techniques.

Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) -or- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of working experience as a Vascular Sonographer.
• Preference to those who have both Vascular and Echo experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and physicians.
• Hand-eye coordination to adjust the movement of the ultrasound transducer based on the images seen on the screen.
• Technical and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work well under pressure, sometimes in emergency situations, to get a fast diagnosis.
• Strong teamwork to interact with the medical team.
• Medical knowledge, including a strong understanding of anatomy, to create proper images.
• Excellent customer service skills are required.
• Work Location: You will work out of the Hinsdale, IL office.
