Head of Operations & Business Management

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. The Plant Manager is accountable for the overall manufacturing processes as well as the physical facility. This includes accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, and all aspects of continuous improvement. Serve as the key interface with a variety of support personnel, including R&D, Engineering, Technical Services, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics internally/externally. Scope of the job hours of operations is 7am to 5pm, Monday through Friday, with “On Call” 24 hours availability.
Ensure that systems and processes support product quality and customer satisfaction, including achieving delivery and quality KPIs. Be accountable for delivering cost and productivity targets including inventory accuracy.
Champion Carlisle Operating System implementation. Lead or support improvement initiatives in all aspects of operations.
Communicate a positive, respectful, and professional tone to achieve high performance.
Lead or support site organizational and leadership development initiatives, talent development, and succession planning.
Interact with purchasing, environmental, health & safety, engineering, human resources, and corporate staff. Serve as the local expert for the plant on these topics.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and products, quality systems, and literacy of SPC, SOPs, process specifications, etc.
Knowledge of government regulations related to people, plant and process operations (FMLA, OSHA, FLSA, ADA, Worker’s Comp, EPA, unemployment).
Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Financial and accounting familiarity including budgeting, cost control, financial data, project justification, and ACE Process.
Understanding of logistics processes including raw material and finished goods shipments and customer service.
Strong MS Office skills.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Good organizational skills and effective time management.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Business field.
10+ years of experience in a manufacturing position or plant operations.
Travel up to 15% of the time to support other sites or meetings.
Monday through Friday; weekends may be required to meet production demands during busy seasons.
This position requires being “On Call” due to the nature of the operation.
Travel as needed.
