Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its team in Wichita, Kansas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling domestic, criminal, probate, and civil cases, providing effective representation for a diverse clientele. This role offers the opportunity to lead cases from inception to settlement or trial, based on strong client management skills and analytical thinking.
Duties Represent clients in domestic, criminal, probate, and civil cases.
Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive legal arguments.
Manage cases independently and collaborate with team members.
Develop a practice in new areas based on aptitude and client base development.
Assist fellow attorneys with their caseloads as needed.
Requirements JD degree and membership in good standing with the Kansas State Bar.
Excellent legal writing and research skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Experience managing own clients or serving as lead counsel is a plus.
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
Proficient in technology and computer use.
Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications Membership in good standing with the Kansas State Bar.
Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
