Travel Registered Nurse - Medsurg

**MUST HAVE NY LICENSE IN HAND - NO EXCEPTIONS**

Shift: 3x12 Nights 1900-0700

Contract length: 13 weeks

Weekend: Every other weekend

First time traveler: Accepted

Locals: Must be 75 mile radius

Years of experience: 2 year minimum

Floating: Required

Special requirement: Need to be able to take a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg

Cert: BLS and NIHSS - Please include valid NIHSS in submittal

Charting: Must have EPIC experience

Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams

IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Peripheral Line Care/Management

Respiratory: Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management

26 beds. The Intermediate Care unit (IMCU) is a critical care step-down unit dedicated to providing exceptional, evidence-based care to our patients. We receive patients from many areas, including but not limited to: the Emergency Department, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and medical-surgical floors. Our patient population consists of adult, acute care patients who require more specialized care than is available on a general medical-surgical unit. All of our patients have continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring. We care for patients needing airway management, acute BIPAP support, patients with arterial lines, central lines and patients requiring titrated medicated IV infusions. Patient care services vary widely, depending on each individual’s specific needs. Our team adapts quickly, is vigilant and provides compassionate care using a multi-disciplinary approach.
