CNA - Medical Flex

Role Overview
The Certified Medical Assistant supports patient-centered care by performing multi-skilled clinical activities under physician supervision. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, preparing examination rooms, and recording information in medical records.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited medical assisting program preferred

Certification through AMT, AAMA, NHA, MedCA, or NAHP required

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or Red Cross

Basic computer skills and ability to follow detailed instructions

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Key Duties

Interviews patients and records vital signs

Prepares treatment rooms and assists in examinations and procedures

Maintains accuracy in documentation and adherence to clinical protocols

Performs physical observations and supports therapeutic procedures

Physical & Other Requirements
Ability to perform various physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and working in confined spaces. Must maintain visual and auditory acuity, handle stressful situations, and work flexible hours. Ability to work in a latex-safe environment and qualify physically for respirator use is required.
