The HR Specialist at McDonald's Ehmann will play a vital role in managing all aspects of personnel administration and employee lifecycle processes across our restaurant locations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a hands‑on, operational HR environment, where you will serve as the primary contact for restaurant managers and employees regarding all HR‑related matters. Your responsibilities will include handling employment contracts, coordinating payroll activities in collaboration with external providers, and managing employee documentation with a focus on data privacy and compliance. An essential part of your role will also involve managing accommodations for international apprentices and staff, ensuring their well‑being and integration into the team. You will contribute to optimizing HR workflows through digital tools and maintain key HR metrics to support strategic decision‑making.

The ideal candidate will possess a completed commercial or HR‑related qualification or degree, with further certifications such as a qualification as a Personnel Specialist being advantageous. You should have proven experience in generalist HR roles, demonstrating confidence and legal certainty in handling employment law matters. Solid knowledge of labor law, employment contracts, and employee relations is essential. Basic understanding of payroll preparation and data protection regulations will be considered a plus. Proficiency in MS Office 365 and HR information systems is required to efficiently manage administrative tasks. The candidate should demonstrate meticulous, structured, and autonomous working habits, paired with a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Fluency in German is mandatory, while additional English skills are beneficial for supporting international apprentices and staff. Serve as the first point of contact and advisor for restaurant management and employees on all HR‑related issues, providing professional guidance and support.

Manage the entire employee lifecycle, including drafting employment contracts, coordinating payroll with external providers, and handling employee exits efficiently and compliantly.

Maintain accurate personnel records, including managing digital personnel files, issuing employment certificates, and ensuring data privacy standards are met.

Handle employment law matters such as contract modifications, warnings, and terminations in close collaboration with restaurant managers, ensuring legal compliance.

Conduct internal HR audits, verify the completeness and correctness of personnel documentation, and maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Oversee accommodations for international employees and apprentices, including managing housing arrangements and supporting their integration into the company.

Develop and maintain HR key figures and reports, contributing to the digital transformation of HR processes to enhance efficiency and transparency.

Support continuous improvement initiatives within HR workflows, leveraging digital tools and best practices to streamline operations.
