EngineerGovCIO is currently hiring for an Engineer to provide technical support to the Navy's Fleet Submarine Very Low and Low-Frequency Broadcast Engineering Support team. ResponsibilitiesResearches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment. Designs, develops, and tests electronic systems, components, or circuits for use within equipment or machinery. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments.Works from broadly defined product and systems specifications to determine appropriate top-down controls architecture. Analyzes and communicates customer needs.Contributes to the analysis and characterization of the systems including system error analysis, failure mode analysis, and cost analysis.Ensures requirements are well developed, reviewed, documented to achieve compatibility and proper integration in finished products.Installs, configures, terminates, and tests all telecommunications equipment, cables, connectors, and interfaces.Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform maintenance and repairs based upon manufacturer specifications and recommendations.Performs tasks relating to telecommunication network operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site, and/or remote locations.Proficiently handle wiring and cabling installation and termination tasksQualificationsBachelor's with 0 - 2 years (or commensurate experience)Required Skills and ExperienceClearance Required: Must be able to obtain SECRET clearance0-2 years technical support experienceCompany OverviewGovCIO is a team of transformers--people who are passionate about transforming government IT.
