BUILD program is a two-year rotational experience that develops high-potential early career talent into impactful professionals through hands-on experience. BUILD is designed for early-career talent who are curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow through hands-on experience. BUILD participants are expected to take an active role in their development while building the business, professional, and technical skills needed for future career opportunities at Acuity. Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) BUILD participants also participate in personal growth activities to enhance business acumen, including: Social and networking events to forge connections with peers and leaders across the business. Leadership report-out meetings to share rotational learnings and performance reviews to identify strengths and areas for growth.

We're looking for early-career talent who: Key Responsibilities While specific projects are determined by the needs of the business, each BUILD track has a set of "functional requirements" to ensure that all participants have similar learning objectives. All Engineering BUILD Specialists will rotate into the following: New Product Development Sustaining/VAVE Additionally, with the remaining rotations, we will connect with the interests of the individual with our current business needs to explore such areas as: Optical Engineering Light Engine Engineering Outsourced Product Development Product Support Product Management Project Management Tech Support, Field Service, Post Sales Labs & Certifications

Preferred Skills and Experience Qualifications A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Electrical Engineering or Electrical is required. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Demonstrated exposure to electronic component selection, circuit analysis, and SPICE simulation. Exposure to Altium Designer or other CAD tools. Exposure to firmware development or embedded systems programming. Availability to travel based on business needs (up to 20%) is required. Less than two years of related work experience is highly preferred.
