Comptroller Position at GSR Group, LLCWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Comptroller to join our team at GSR Group, LLC, an experienced Wingstop Franchisee. As a Comptroller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial activities and operations of our franchise. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of financial principles and practices. This position requires a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.Financial Reporting:- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).- Provide timely and accurate financial reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators and variances from budget.Monitor budget performance and provide proactive recommendations to optimize financial performance.Cash Management:- Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and optimize investment opportunities.- Oversee banking relationships and monitor banking activities, including reconciliations and fund transfers.Internal Controls and Compliance:- Establish and maintain robust internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.- Conduct periodic internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.Tax Planning and Compliance:- Coordinate with external tax advisors to develop tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.- Prepare and review tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and payroll tax filings.Financial Analysis and Decision Support:- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including investment evaluation, pricing analysis, and profitability assessment.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business initiatives and assess their financial impact.Team Leadership and Development:- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.- Provide guidance and support to team members, promoting professional development and career growth opportunities.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on financial management and reporting.- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting standards.- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.- Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.- Experience in the restaurant industry or franchising sector is a plus.If you meet the qualifications outlined above and are passionate about financial management and strategic planning, we encourage you to apply for the Comptroller position.
