Head of Management Accounting

Founded with a vision to deliver exceptional value, our client is an industry leader seeking a Director of Accounting to support the Controller in managing the Company's day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close process. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, completing account reconciliations, preparing journal entries, supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, and assisting with financial reporting and audit requirements.

Perform monthly account reconciliations, including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts.

Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for balance sheet accounts.

Assist with intercompany reconciliations and allocations.

Prepare and maintain monthly bank reconciliations.

Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.

Assist with audit requests and research historical accounting transactions as needed.

Support the Controller with tax and other compliance-related requests.

Maintain organized documentation to support the Company's financial records and internal controls.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and efficiencies.

Assist with implementation of new systems, processes, and reporting requirements.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

5+ years of progressive accounting experience,

Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles and month end close.

Strong Excel skills and experience working with accounting systems.

Experience with AP, AR, accruals, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

Experience with intercompany accounting is preferred.
