Job Description Experienced Wood Finisher
Grand Rapids, MI Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) Pay: $18.00
We're seeking an Experienced Wood Finisher to join our team in Grand Rapids , MI . In this role, you'll be a vital part of our operations, helping us deliver high-quality wood furniture and components by applying consistent, professional finishes that meet company quality standards.
As an Experienced Wood Finisher , your core responsibilities will include:
Preparing wood surfaces: Sanding and prepping wood furniture and components to ensure smooth, high-quality finishes.
Staining, painting, and applying protective coatings to enhance durability and appearance.
Operating finishing equipment: Safely using spray guns and finishing equipment to achieve consistent, professional results.
In addition, you will also be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace , collaborate with team members, and assist with minor maintenance of finishing equipment .
Prior experience as a wood finisher or in a similar finishing role
Experience spraying and staining wood furniture components
Ability to work full-time and overtime as needed
Essential for ensuring finishes meet appearance and quality standards.
Equipment operation skills: Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills to meet production goals in a manufacturing environment.
