Attorney At Law (Remote)

Our client, a growing law firm representing institutional mortgage lenders and servicers, is seeking a Bankruptcy Attorney to support its Florida practice. This role focuses on protecting secured creditor rights in Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy matters while providing strategic legal guidance throughout the life cycle of a case. The position can be based in the Fort Lauderdale area or remotely within the Miami or Palm Beach markets, with travel throughout Florida as needed.

Represent mortgage lenders and servicers in bankruptcy proceedings across Florida.

Manage bankruptcy matters from inception through resolution, including proofs of claim, motions for relief from stay, plan review and objections, loss mitigation matters, and post-petition compliance issues.

Advise clients on bankruptcy-related, servicing, regulatory, and investor-guideline matters.

Analyze case law, identify legal risks, and provide strategic recommendations.

Protect and enforce creditor rights while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local bankruptcy laws and court rules.

Independently manage case files while maintaining high-quality client service and responsiveness.

2 to 3 years of bankruptcy attorney experience, including at least 1 year representing creditors in Florida Bankruptcy Courts.

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local bankruptcy laws, rules, and procedures.

Excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.

Ability to evaluate case law and provide practical legal recommendations.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal technology platforms.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout Florida for hearings and mediations.
