Nurse - Home Healthcare - Full or Part Time

VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.

We are seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) with ultrasound-guided IV experience for full-time vascular access positions. PICC line training is provided, and prior PICC experience is not required. Opportunities are also available for experienced PICC RNs in both full-time and per diem roles.

Eligible for $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time employment, based on prior vascular access experience.

As a Vascular Access Nurse Consultant, you will work collaboratively with our customer's clinical team to resolve venous access issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance

Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD's

In this role, Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs. Full-time scheduling requirements include three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation. Part-time (Per Diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of 4 scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.

Training and Experience Requirements

Ideal candidates are experienced in both ultrasound guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device (VAD) insertions

Training available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience

Priority given to fully trained vascular access nurses, but additional training available for those with strong USGIV skills

Registered Nurse with current license

Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)

Valid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites

Must possess a smart phone

Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experience

Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasound

Hourly Pay Range: $50 - $70 USD
