HR Generalist/Employee Relations/Payroll

Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Utah, Onsite
Job-Type: Contract
Pay Range: $35 - $40/hr.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an HR Generalist to support a broad range of human resources functions and serve as a trusted resource for employees, managers, and corporate business partners. This role will support onboarding, payroll inquiries, employee relations, HR administration, compliance, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Respond to employee inquiries and provide guidance on HR policies, processes, and programs.

Support new-hire onboarding and orientation, including employee file and system administration.

Assist with payroll questions, unemployment claims, and verification of employment (VOE) requests.

Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding performance management, talent management, and employee relations.

Assist with workplace dispute resolution and recommend appropriate courses of action.

Support employee engagement, recognition, and coworker assistance programs.

Maintain recurring HR reports.

Monitor and maintain administrative trackers, including area management auto-insurance requirements.

Process and route incoming mail and HR-related correspondence.

Handle HR emails, including general inquiries and corrective-action documentation.

Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies.

Perform other HR duties and projects as assigned.

Required Experience & Skills:

3+ years of relevant HR experience.

Strong knowledge of core HR functions, policies, and employment laws and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Working knowledge of Workday or another HRIS and Microsoft Office.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees, managers, and business partners.

Sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.

Strong problem-solving and customer-service orientation.
