Our client, a growing Chemicals Operator, has a permanent opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to be based in Beaumont, TX.

Our client is a leading petrochemical manufacturing organization seeking a Mechanical Engineer with deep expertise in both fixed and rotating equipment reliability . To be located at one of the largest methanol production facilities in the US.
This position will serve as the subject matter expert for fixed and rotating equipment across the facility, driving reliability improvements, asset effectiveness initiatives, maintenance strategy development, and equipment lifecycle management. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and support long-term asset reliability.
This role is best suited for an engineer with significant experience supporting both fixed and rotating equipment within chemical, petrochemical, refining, industrial gas, or other heavy manufacturing environments.
We are seeking hands-on, cross-functional mechanical engineers who can operate across reliability, maintenance support, project execution, and turnaround activities.

Candidates must have meaningful experience with both static and rotating equipment, including:

Static Equipment
Heat exchangers
Rotating Equipment
Fans and related rotating equipment
Reliability & Project Experience
Reliability engineering
Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
Equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis
Preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
Capital project execution
Construction management and contractor oversight
Equipment replacement and commissioning activities

Field Presence is essential.
Spending significant time in the plant
Working directly with Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability teams
Shadowing technicians to understand equipment and failure modes
Troubleshooting equipment issues in the field
Supporting plant outages, turnarounds and major maintenance activities

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• candidates with up to 20 years of experience may be considered if they remain highly engaged in hands-on field and technical work
• Experience in process manufacturing industries such as: Methanol, Petrochemical, Refining, LNG, Chemical Manufacturing.

This is a unique opportunity to become the enterprise-wide fixed/rotating equipment reliability subject matter expert for a growing industrial manufacturer with one of the largest operating facilities across the United States.
High visibility position supporting multiple sites and critical production assets.
Ownership of fixed/rotating equipment reliability strategy across the organization.
Opportunity to influence maintenance programs, asset life planning, capital projects, and long-term reliability initiatives.
Direct involvement in complex equipment including compressors, turbines, pumps, motors, VFDs, gearboxes, and other critical rotating assets.
Exposure to both plant operations and corporate engineering leadership.
Ability to lead reliability improvements that directly impact safety, production performance, and asset effectiveness.
Diverse responsibilities spanning reliability engineering, root cause failure analysis, maintenance strategy development, turnarounds, and capital project execution.
