S. manufacturer of polyvinyl chloride, chlor-alkali and chlorinated organic chemicals, and calcium chloride.We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Pipefitter with our Chemical Manufacturing Facility located in Wichita, Kansas.ResponsibilitiesMaintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.Cuts and treads pipe using industrial equipment.Rigs and moves heavy steel and assist crane operator, welders etc.Utilize computer systems for completing various job duties, such as ordering parts, completing online training, reviewing email, etc.QualificationsEducation RequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 3 years as a pipefitter in an industrial environment.Safety and Physical RequirementsMust be able to read process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and follow mechanical specifications.Able to work overtime, weekends, holidays and call outs as needed to maintain a 24/7 operating plant.Ability and willingness to serve as member of Emergency Response Team.Ability to read, speak, and write English.Must be able to work in confined spaces, work at heights, climb ladders and stairways and work from platforms and in pipe racks.Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of an air feed respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.Additional Desired Qualifications:Additional chemical plant or manufacturing experience is preferred.Good working knowledge of SAP preferred.Fraud Statement:It has come to our attention that various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of OxyChem.
