Consulting Psychologist, Part-Time

Consulting Psychologist The Consulting Psychologist works in partnership with Social Services and Residential Life Services staff to provide psychological evaluations of children (ages 15-21) in our Child Welfare Residential Programs.

Hours: As Needed/Part-Time/Flexible

Certification Required: New York State Education Certification as a Psychologist.

The Psychologist completes comprehensive psychological testing on children and adolescents; administers, scores and interprets a wide range of tests including intelligence, perceptual-motor, adaptive (i.e. Evaluations are done within 45 days for children in our Rapid Intervention Center and annually in our Hard-to-Place Group Home. They are often required upon entry into foster care to assist with treatment and educational planning. The Psychologist provides clinical assessment and diagnostic formulations to assist in overall case management.

Advanced degree in Psychology from an APA approved training program; experience engaging at-risk youth. Familiarity with child welfare issues preferable.

Interest in working with children/adolescents.

Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based, trauma informed and youth development perspective.
