Dispatcher/Customer Service- Full Time

Transdev in Maplewood,155 Prospect Ave NJ is hiring an in-person Dispatcher to join our Essex County team. The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

Oversee road service assigned by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.

Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.

Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.

Proactively managing runs to maintain service performance standards

Managing incidents and accidents in accordance with established policies and procedures

High School Diploma or GED; operations may be beneficial.

Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.

Knowledge of traffic patterns and their Impact on paratransit operations, preferred

Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and on a two-way

Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and paratransit scheduling software (and preferably Spare) and the ability to learn new software

Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

Must be able to work flexible schedules as needed.

Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities

Majority of work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
