Performs team member orientation, training, and coaching, and provides input for performance evaluations. Promotes a positive patient experience by ensuring service excellence, effective communication, and the delivery of timely, high-quality care by the team. Serves as a resource to department staff and other team members as needed. Supports scheduling of personnel to provide adequate coverage during all hours of operation, using flexible staffing when appropriate. Oversees quality control testing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting. Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders and established protocols. Verifies patient identity and exam appropriateness and obtains necessary clinical history prior to scanning. Positions patients and equipment appropriately and manipulates transducers and technical factors to acquire optimal images, waveforms, heart rates, and other diagnostic data.
