POSITION: Maintenance Tech
Hourly (Non Exempt)
REPORTS TO: Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment, facility systems, and infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations at IDC. This role plays a critical part in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining a high standard of safety and quality in a precision manufacturing environment.
Equipment Maintenance & Repair Perform routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance on CNC machines, production equipment, and facility systems
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
Diagnose equipment failures and implement timely, effective repairs
Assist with machine setup, installation, and commissioning
Preventive Maintenance (PM) Execute and document preventive maintenance schedules
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance
Facilities Maintenance Maintain building systems including HVAC, lighting, compressed air, and plumbing
Perform general facility repairs and upkeep as needed
Identify and address safety risks or hazards immediately
Continuous Improvement Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and maintenance practices
Communicate effectively with team members regarding equipment status and repairs
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required
Technical certification or associate degree in maintenance, industrial technology, or related field preferred
2-5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (CNC experience preferred)
Skills & Abilities Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Experience with CNC equipment, PLCs, and industrial systems preferred
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
