Head of Recruiting & HR

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager responsible for leading all human resources functions within the manufacturing facility, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, and workforce planning. This role partners with plant leadership to build a productive, engaged, and compliant workforce while supporting operational objectives.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions.

Develop workforce plans to support production demands and business growth.

Partner with staffing agencies, technical schools, and community organizations to attract talent.

Employee Relations

Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees regarding HR policies and practices.

Conduct investigations related to employee complaints, workplace conflicts, and policy violations.

Promote a positive employee relations environment and support employee engagement initiatives.

Performance Management

Support managers with performance reviews, coaching, and employee development plans.

Ensure consistent application of performance management programs.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Administer HR policies and procedures in accordance with company standards.

Support labor relations activities and collective bargaining processes, if applicable.

Manage employee benefits enrollment and employee inquiries.

Training & Development

Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.

Ensure compliance training requirements are completed.

Develop leadership training programs for supervisors and managers.

Support succession planning initiatives.

HR Operations & Reporting

Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.

Analyze HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, hiring, and retention.

Manage HR budgets and departmental expenditures.

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field required.

5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.

3+ years in a manufacturing, production, distribution, or industrial environment preferred.

Experience supporting hourly workforces and multi-shift operations.

Experience with employee relations investigations and conflict resolution.

Knowledge of HRIS systems and HR analytics.

Strong recruiting and talent management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology platforms.

Manufacturing plant environment with regular interaction on the production floor.

Ability to work flexible hours to support multiple shifts as needed.

Occasional travel may be required.
