Requirements

• Minimum 2 years inpatient RN experience (Med/Surg experience required)
• Required: BLS
• Preferred: Oncology certification preferred; traveler must be able to administer chemotherapy if needed (facility/manager may train/certify)
• NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide medical-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients, including those with oncology histories.
• Administer chemotherapy/biotherapy along with blood products as needed.
• Perform general inpatient nursing duties, including but not limited to, managing colostomy care, central and peripheral line care, and wound VAC management.
• Ensure effective communication utilizing SBAR format; document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care, including pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and social work.

Compliance / Notes

• Orientation: 24 hours (2 shifts)
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend required
• Attendance at monthly staff meetings is expected
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Pre-start modules: Required (approx. 8-10 hours for acute care); must be completed pre-start
