Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 36 hours per week (3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15) | Onsite | 13–26 week assignments accepted

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Medical/Surgical patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Administer and monitor Heparin drips and Insulin per facility protocols
• Utilize Pyxis for medication administration, EPIC for clinical documentation, and SBAR for patient communication
• Float to similar units as needed, typically at least once per week
• Work every other weekend and must be available to work assigned holidays
• Participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state license
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg experience
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Proficiency with Heparin drips and Insulin administration
• Must pass EKG competency test
• Ability to complete pre-start online modules prior to first day using Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience (not required but welcomed)
• Familiarity with EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR communication framework
• Experience working in a high-acuity Med/Surg or Telemetry environment
