Repair and Maintenance Tech - 3rd Shift

Performs a variety of duties to support Maintenance floor demands. Responsible for training/assisting subordinate level Maintenance Technicians in the repair and maintenance of manufacturing machinery and processes; Foster a positive working environment and strive to meet set productivity targets and performance standards

Maintain the maintenance work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion

Basic repairs including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Assist senior technicians with complex repairs while adhering to maintenance procedures

Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities with the Senior and Subordinate Technicians

Remain active on the floor providing “hands-on” trouble shooting and maintenance of production equipment

Pass down to next shift any open items that remain unresolved at end of shift

Use established procedures for removing/returning spare parts

High school diploma or GED, 3+ year experience working in machine maintenance, skilled trades education a plus

Follow safe work procedures and wear personal protective equipment as required

Basic understanding of Hydraulic, Electrical and Mechanical schematics and blueprints

Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals also requires the ability to use simple arithmetic, simple formulas, charts, and schedules

Strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects and tasks
