As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in our operations. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Project Engineer to join our team and play a crucial role in delivering exceptional construction projects.
Manage and maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of project schedules using Microsoft Project and Autodesk Forma.
Maintain organized project files and ensure document control procedures are followed.
Coordinate daily activities with the J&L Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure work is proceeding per schedule.
Conduct regular field walks to monitor work quality and verify compliance with project drawings and specifications.
Identify and communicate potential schedule delays, conflicts, or quality issues to the Project Manager.
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Assist with quantity takeoffs and material procurement as directed.
Support project closeout activities including punch list management, as-built documentation, and O&M manual assembly.
Full-time salary, may require weekend and shift work depending upon project requirements.
Work Location: Onsite in construction trailer and/or in Rocklin, CA main office.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
0–3 years of construction industry experience (internship experience accepted).
Working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
Experience with construction related software. Software currently utilized are: Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Autodesk Forma (ACC), Building Connected.
Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Experience with commercial, institutional, or industrial construction projects.
Travel requirements: must have a valid driver’s license. Travel based on jobsite locations within the surrounding Sacramento Valley Region.
Background check and drug testing required for position.
