A Lube Technician primarily performs routine vehicle maintenance tasks like oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. They also inspect and top off fluids, rotate tires, and may perform minor repairs or part replacements. Excellent customer service, communication, and a strong attention to safety are also key aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

Oil Changes: Draining old oil, replacing the oil filter, and filling with new oil.

Filter Replacements: Changing engine air filters, cabin air filters, and other filters as needed.

Fluid Checks and Replacements: Inspecting and topping off engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, brake fluid, and other essential fluids.

Tire Services: Rotating tires, checking tire pressure, and inflating tires as needed.

Greasing Chassis Fittings: Applying lubricant to chassis components as required.

Vehicle Inspections: Performing visual inspections to identify potential maintenance or repair needs.

Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines.

Maintaining a Clean Work Area: Keeping the shop area, tools, and equipment clean and organized.

Restocking and Inventory: Managing and maintaining the inventory of supplies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Mechanical Aptitude: A strong understanding of automotive systems and components.

Basic Automotive Knowledge: Familiarity with different types of fluids, filters, and basic maintenance procedures.

Tool Proficiency: Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.

Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to Detail: Ensuring accurate and thorough service delivery.

Time Management: Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

Safety Awareness: A strong commitment to safety procedures.

A CLASS A CDL A PLUS

Potential Additional Duties:

Minor Repairs: Replacing light bulbs, fuses, or other minor components.

Diagnosing Vehicle Issues: Identifying potential problems and recommending solutions.

Maintaining Records: Documenting work performed and materials used.

Operating Equipment: Using specialized lubrication equipment.

Specialized Training: May require specific certifications or training depending on the employer.

As a condition to your employment with Mid-City Lumber, you acknowledge that Mid-City requires that a drug test be preformed within 72 hours of your acceptance of the offer of employment set forth in this letter. You further acknowledge that if you (a) refuse to submit to any requested drug test for any reason, (b) test positive for the presence of illegal drugs, or (c) fail to take the test within 72 hours, the offer made to you in this letter may be rescinded by Mid-City without liability. Also a condition of employment by Mid-City, you hereby authorize Mid-City to conduct a background check prior to the Commencement Date. You acknowledge and agree that the offer of employment set forth in this letter is contingent uponthe completion of a background investigation to the satisfication of Mid-City.
